Academic Teacher provides learning-focused academic support. This policy explains how study materials, examples, proofreading and guidance should be used responsibly.

Purpose of support

Our services are intended to support learning, planning, research understanding, academic writing improvement, proofreading, editing and revision. Support should help students understand academic expectations, not avoid them.

Model material

Any model examples, outlines, notes, structures or sample passages are supplied for learning and reference only. They should be used to understand structure, standards, sources and academic presentation.

Acceptable use

Acceptable use includes learning from examples, improving drafts, checking grammar, understanding sources, planning structure, preparing presentations and preparing for assessments.

Unacceptable use

Students must not submit third-party model material as their own work, misrepresent authorship, bypass university rules or use support in a way that breaches academic misconduct policies.

Student responsibility

Students remain responsible for following the rules of their university, college, school, awarding body or professional organisation.
