Policy
Refund / Amendment Policy
Amendments and refund reviews are assessed against the agreed brief, selected service, target package where relevant, evidence provided and communication record.
Amendment basis
Amendments should relate to the original agreed instructions, brief, academic level, word count, deadline, referencing style and service scope.
Scope changes
New instructions, changed questions, additional word count, new sources, altered deadlines, different referencing requirements, changed methodology or new data may be treated as additional work.
Correction first
If delivered work does not match the agreed brief, correction or amendment support is normally considered first. A refund is considered only where the issue is verified and cannot reasonably be corrected.
Originality and AI-report concerns
Originality or AI-report concerns must be supported by a clear report from a recognised checking tool, together with the delivered file and original brief. We will review the concern and, where appropriate, provide amendment support or a partial refund assessment.
Classification-targeted review
A final mark or classification alone does not automatically qualify for a refund. If a classification-targeted package was agreed, we will review whether the delivered work reasonably matched the agreed academic standard, original brief, rubric and instructions.
Evidence required
Refund or amendment reviews may require the original brief, marking rubric, agreed instructions, delivered file, communication record and official written feedback from the institution.
Refund cap
Where a refund is approved after internal review, it is limited to a maximum of 50% of the service fee, less non-recoverable costs including purchased literature, specialist resources, third-party materials or other agreed project expenses.
Refund scenarios
| Scenario | Outcome |
|---|---|
| Work not started yet | Cancellation may be eligible for a full or partial refund depending on whether any review, planning or resource purchase has already taken place. |
| Work started but not delivered | A partial refund may be considered depending on the work completed, time spent, resources used and agreed project stage. |
| Late delivery caused by us | Amendment support or partial refund review may be considered where delay is clearly caused by Academic Teacher and affects the agreed use of the work. |
| Late delivery caused by missing client information | No automatic refund applies where delay results from missing briefs, late responses, changed instructions, missing files or unclear requirements. |
| Duplicate payment | Any verified duplicate payment will be refunded for the duplicate amount. |
| Originality concern | Requires a valid originality or AI report from a recognised checking tool, plus the delivered file and original brief for review. |
| Work does not follow agreed brief | Correction is offered first within the original scope; refund review is considered only if the verified issue cannot reasonably be corrected. |
| Grade concern | Reviewed only against the agreed target package, original brief, marking rubric, instructions and official written feedback. Final mark or classifications are not controlled by Academic Teacher. |
